PERTEMUAN KE 3 KELAS X

MATERI       : OBJECTIVE PRONOUNS AND POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

Object pronouns are also called objective pronoun, function as the object of a verb or preposition, as distinguished from a subject or subjective pronoun, which is the subject of a verb.
Examples:
a.       They begged to their parents to take them to visit the zoo this weekend.
b.      My teacher gave me a lot of homeworks.
Object pronouns are used instead of object nouns, usually because we already know what the object is.
c.       She’s my friend. I really enjoy being with her.
d.      I like this film. I saw it last week.
Objective pronouns come after either a verb (e.g “like”) ar a preposition (e.g “to”)
Examples:
a.       I like you but you don’t like me.
b.      Do you really hate her?
c.       The cat loves sitting next to him.
d.      She always writes e-mails to us.
e.       He’s talking to her about it.
Objective pronouns in English are the following:
me, you, him, her, it, us, them.
